Sector data

Each sector endpoint returns:
  • Pressure score — a sector-specific composite reflecting current consumer conditions
  • Active signals — filtered to signals relevant to that sector
  • Trend data — consumer intent search baskets tracking demand shifts
  • Company exposure — public equities classified as high-exposure or defensive with rationale

Company exposure

Companies are classified based on their sensitivity to consumer pressure shifts. High-exposure companies are most affected during downturns; defensive companies tend to be resilient. The API returns exposure scores, sector context, and risk-level assessments for individual tickers.

EU Import Cost Transmission (UK only)

A unique feature for UK analysis: the import pressure endpoint models upstream price pressure from major EU trading partners flowing into UK consumer prices. It compares trade-weighted EU inflation data against equivalent UK CPI categories to detect price gaps — where EU costs are rising faster than UK prices, indicating latent inflationary pressure. The model covers food, energy, headline, services, and transport categories.
